Hi Blogger -You've probably been reading about it but I
thought I would distill the information for
you so

Facebook recently announced 98% of all posts
that you and everyone else makes to their
followers will NOT be published.
And they can do this! It's in the small print,
you know, the terms of service everyone agrees to.
So the big question is why are they doing this?
The explanation requires I take you back in
history just a bit. Facebook struggled for
years trying to make a profit and they found
it almost impossible to make money from their
free members - that is until now.
You see, FB wants you to 'pay' for that
advertising, you know your posts, if that
post sells anything when you tell your
followers about something that may cost
them a few fungola$.
Log in to your account and click on the
'advertising' link. You will see they are
happy to invite you to purchase that
advertising, yes, even when you are
communicating with your followers.
Mike G has been saying this for years... He
would rather have 1,000 email subscribers
than 100,000 followers on Facebook. It was
true when the net started over 20 years ago
and it is true today -
THE MONEY IS IN THE EMAIL LIST!
Attempting to sell someone something,
anything, whose only interest is in knowing
what you are up to, when the next party is,
how you feel about the president, etc., etc.,
(by the way it is these kinds of posts which
Facebook will mostly continue to allow).
